Strategy

Behind the Curtain on Admissions - The team will explain how admission officers select who gets in. Ivy Brothers will go into detail about their decision process and characteristics they’re looking for, based on our interviews with admission officers and our data on accepted students. We’ll also provide information regarding target profiles that got accepted into their first college of choice.

• Target School Research + Custom Tailoring - The Ivy Brothers will research a school’s fiscal year budget and new initiatives to see if the student can apply for a department that needs seats filled. We’ll also make sure that certain areas of your application fit the ideal   persona a school is looking for. The Ivy Brothers will also call on its qualitative research after speaking with admission officers throughout a particular year.

• Multi-year strategy - The Ivy Brothers will help the student develop a spike whether that be world-class at an activity, a nationally recognized prize winner or other top tier personas that the admission committee looks for.

• Extracurricular Selection and Planning - This is the section of the timeline in which we help students choose the right extracurriculars that align with the overall consistent messaging of the application. We also will help with how the student phrases and words their impact within these activities on the Common App & other applications.

• Step Boost Process - Ivy Brothers will use its proprietary boost process that involves improving aspects of the application through collaboration with a student’s school counselor. It can involve guidance, ranging from areas of the transcript to languages. 

• Recommendations - Ivy Brothers has created a strategy to bring out more meaningful detail from a student’s chosen recommenders, by including within the standard brag-sheet a series of questions that tend to elicit a more unique response and bring out the most about the student’s personality.

Academic Research

• Academic Research is a critical part of an Ivy League education. The Ivy Brothers will assist the student with conducting research with a professor or PhD. We’ll provide guidance throughout the process from the prospectus to the analysis and literature review. Furthermore, we’ll help the student get their paper published or under review by an academic journal. The student’s work will get featured in a publication or journal.They could also receive recognition in a newspaper, conference, or organization. 

Essays

Comprehensive brainstorming, editing, and review workshops that will ensure that your personal statement and supplemental essays captivate the admission officers, while also retaining your unique voice. We will encourage you to, in your essays, hone in on one or two ideas, which demonstrate passion or leadership. We will cover 8 applications across the USA and European schools. 

SPECIFICATIONS

The program includes 35 total sessions. Each live session is a 1/2 hour, and session time may also be allocated toward offline support, such as essay writing and application work. After 60 days, parents may request a refund for any unused time if they are unhappy with the program for any reason. The family will receive a prorated amount back. 

There are 5 additional hours of complimentary time for essays or projects that can be used if over the original limit. The bonus hours start once the 35th session is complete.
