This is a one session package for families who want an honest read on where their student stands today and what it will take to get into a top university. Ivy Brothers will review the student’s full profile before the call, meet with the student for a 30 minute strategy session, and deliver the analysis packet + roadmap. In particular, we will tell you what the admissions office will see when it opens the file, and what has to change.
This analysis packet entails the following:
We will audit the student’s complete profile before the call. This means we will review the transcript, course rigor, test scores, activities list, awards, summer programs and any writing or creative work, and benchmark each one against the admitted class data at every school on your list.
We will hold a one time 30 minute strategy call with the student and parents. We will walk through the audit, answer questions, and give a realistic assessment of admission odds today at each target school.
We will deliver a written Overall Assessment. This covers how the profile reads to an admissions officer, the student’s hook status, the realistic probability of admission at each school, and the single biggest issue holding the application back.
We will identify the student’s Strengths and the Weaknesses and Filler on the current resume. This includes which activities carry weight, which ones admissions officers discount, pay to play programs that should be removed or reframed, and where entries lack the hours, outcomes and numbers that make them credible.
We will provide an Academic Assessment. This means GPA and test scores measured against each school’s middle 50 percent, the impact of any grade dips and how to address them, and a testing plan including whether to apply test optional.
We will give feedback on every extracurricular. Each activity receives a short written read on what it adds to the application and what is missing from it.
We will perform a Spike Analysis. This means identifying the two or three directions the current profile could take, the evidence behind each, and our recommendation on which one should lead the application and why it works for this student.
We will present two to three build ideas sized to the spike. These are the projects and initiatives that would make the student stand out at the target schools, what each one looks like on a finished application, and what it requires to execute.
We will provide a school by school Application Assessment and where your odds currently are.
We will list the activities and programs the student should not pursue. This saves time and money on things that will not move the application.
We will close the Roadmap with a proposal for working together. This covers the team we would assign to the student, and a timeline of what we will work on. The full cost of this package is credited against any Ivy Brothers program signed within 7 days of the call.
